The town emblem was adopted on Oct 9th 1984 by Notice No 64 but there is no flag law. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 甲 Ko of Kosa in a form of a winged pigeon. The center chevron symbolizes Mt. Kosa and an image of the town which expands to the sky. The green color stands for the town’s forest and River Midori.
