The coat of arms of Sutivan pictures two saints, the namesake of the town, St. John, and its patron saint, St. Roch, as follows: "Azure, in dexter St. John the Baptist stantant haloed or haired and barbed brunâtre clad in camel fur gules with his dexter hand rised and holding in his sinister a staff or with a pennant argent hoisted from a crossbar, in sinister St. Roch stantant haloed or haired and barbed brunâtre clad as a Roman warrior gules with a cloak of the same and with sandals or holding in his dexter a staff or and by his sinister pointing to a wound on his leg".
Sutivan was first established in 1823 and integrated into the larger community of Brac only in 1944. In that period it used a seal (image) that already included the pictures of the two saints in a similar disposition as in the modern coat of arms.

St. Roch's sandals are prescribed as or, but are depicted as brown on the arms in actual use.
