Presentation of Castanié

Joseph Castanié was a noted shipowner living in Oran, a main port of Algeria (known today as Wahrân). His company seems to have operated coastal lines linking Moroccan and Algerian ports. In 1920, Castanié is listed as the Secretary General of the influent Fédération Algérienne du Commerce et de l'Industrie (Algerian Federation of Commerce an Industry).
