Presentation of Fourmentin-Avisse

Fourmentin-Avisse was a fishing company based in the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
In 1910, the company purchased the Ambroise Paré; requisitioned in 1915 by the French Navy, the ship was retroceded to the shipowner in 1919. Requisitioned once again in 1939, she was seized by the Royal Navy and retroceded to the shipowner in 1946, until eventually scraped in 1951.
A Mr. Fourmentin-Avisse was delegate in the international conference on fishery regulations held in London on 19-23 March 1937.
