Flag of the Regional Council

Region Île-de-France recently adopted a new logotype, looking like a simplification of the previous one, which had been adopted in 2000.
I could get from the Regional Council a new flag they just printed, white, with the logotype on the center. The logotype is all red and has kept the eight-pointed "star" of the previous logotype.

The Regional Council of Île-de-France changed its logotype and flag.
The former red-white-blue flower, which had been created in 1976, has been abandoned, because it was only a geographical symbol of the departements, and not a symbol of a Region whose main aim is preparing the future. The new logotype is a blue whirling spiral with an eight-pointed star, standing for the eight departments of the Region and Europe.

The flag used before 2000 was white with the Regional council's logo, but with the flower three times bigger than in the stand-alone logo.
In the first version of this logo, the central red device for Paris was not a disk, but in the shape of the city of Paris.
