Flag of Gironde

The flag of Gironde (photo) is white with the department's logo, which was modified in 2015 to account for the change in the name of the local assembly: the words "Conseil général" were replaced by the words "Le département".

The flag of the former General Council of Gironde (photo, 19 November 2010; photo) was white with the logo of the General Council, which is made of an emblem showing the department of Gironde, represented as a a red pentagon placed on the Atlantic coast of France, represented as a black hexagon. The writing "Gironde / CONSEIL GENERAL", written in red and black letters, respectively, is placed on the right of the emblem. There is a thin red line below the writing.

The General Council inaugurated its graphic chart, made by the Maison Poaplume agency (website), in August 2009.
The colors are prescribed as:
Black: K 100 / Pantone Process black C / Pantone Process black U / Pantone Process black M / R 30 - G 30 - B 30 / HTML 1E1E1E / C 40 - M 40 - Y 40 - K 100;
Red: M 100 - Y 100 / Pantone 485 C / Pantone 485 U / Pantone 485 M / R 213 - G 43 - B 30 / HTML D52B1E.
The emblem, kept unchanged from the former logo, shows the department of Gironde, represented as a a red pentagon placed on the Atlantic coast of France, represented as a black hexagon.

The former flag of the General Council of Gironde (photo, August 2006) is white with the former logo of the General Council in the middle.
The former logo of the General Council is made of the aforementioned emblem. "CONSEIL GENERAL / Gironde" is written in black letters below the emblem, and the whole is placed on a white background framed by a black square border.
