Description of current flag:
The ratio is 3:5. It is green - white - green vertical triband with ratio 1:2:1. The coat of arms is in the middle of the central stripe.

Description of coat of arms:
The green shield is divided by a silver (= white), bendy fess superimosed by a black man trap. On the sinister chief point is a silver (= white) bull's head armed golden (= yellow). On the dexter base point is a golden (= yellow) bendy ear of grain (looks like barley).
Meaning:
The bull's head and the ear are symbolizing herding and agriculture. The wavy fess is symbolizing Duwenbach creek, the man trap is taken from the arms of Gagern kin, who possessed the village of Gagern, a part of the municipality, in the 14th century.
