It is a red-white-red vertical triband. The coat of arms is in the centre of the white stripe.

Apensen Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, an armed arm Argent holding a sword Argent in bend sinister with its hilt ending in a knob Or.
Meaning:
The arm is symbolising the medieval court at Apensen, first mentioned in 1432 and abolished in 1852.
