Shield parted by a bar wavy Argent; above Azure, a lion issuant barry of five of Gules and Argent, base Vert charged with a linden branch Argent in fess, having eight leaves Argent.
Meaning:
The lion is that one of Hesse. The bar wavy is representing Schwalm River. The number of leaves is representing the villages Bischhausen, Dorheim, Gilsa, Neuenhain, Römersberg, Schlierbach, Waltersbrück and Zimmersrode.
