Description of current flag:
The flag's ratio is 3:5. It is a blue - red vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Coat of arms

Description of coat of arms:
The blue shield is divided by a golden (= yellow) fess, which is superimposed by a red weaver's shuttle containing a golden (=yellow) yarn. Beneath the fess a re five ears of grain, probably barley.
Meaning:
The colours of the sheet are those of Oldenburg. The shuttle is symbolizing textiles industry and the ears agriculture.

The coat of arms was approved in 1949 by Lower Saxonian minister of interior. Until 2004 the muncipality had no proper flag.
