What, if anything, is Gornhausen's Bavarian connection?
James Dignan, 16 Oct 2009

The rhombs in the flag of Gornhausen remind of the county Veldenz to which the place belonged. The Bavarian (Veldenz) lion and the rhombs came by marriage of the count to the Veldenz coat of arms in 1835.
Besides, Gornhausen was Bavarian from 1777 to 1797.
