Aidlingen Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
In a silver (= white) shield is a blue imperial globe with golden (= yellow) metal fittings. The ends of the cross are of type patty.
Meaning:
The imperial globe is known as a local symbol of Aidlingen since 1609. It appears also on a municipal seal in the 19th century and a village mayor's sel from 1923. On demand of B÷blingen Oberamt the local council on 20 December 1929 adopted a coat of arms, divided per fess into silver (= white) and blue. Above was the globe, below a scythe crossed with a rake. After the rural character of the municipality had changed, scythe and rake were omitted in 1971.
