Overview

Translated from <www.timbiocauca.gov.co>:
The flag of Timbío is created by decree #11 of Dicember 7, 1971 of the Municipal Council. It is composed of three vertical colours. The colours are according to the Royal Certificate that was issued in Valladolid (Spain) in November 10, 1558 by Philip II, King of Spain to the "Big Province of Cauca" in these times.
The colors are dark green on the hoist side which means honesty, friendship and courtesy as well the fields and the abundance. It is also means that Timbío is a big fomenter of the agriculture and the cattle ranch. White means the good faith and the joy of Timbío. The laurel crown in the center is for the valour and glory of the sons in the battle fields, eagers of liberty. Yellow means nobility, wealth, power and prosperity.
