Gules
the Women's Gate Argent with roof and open portcullis Sable.
Željko
Heimer, 3 November 2001
The
women's gate is the most important monument of the valley, and owes its name to
the legendary battle of the women of Lugnez, in the feud between Werdenberg and
Belmont in 1352, on the side of Belmont, which was of utmost importance at the
time in the battle between feudalism and democracy.
