The Federal District also has a flag ensign of the Governor. It was created in 1994 to represent the government of the federal entity, the author is the Lieutenant Colonel of the Military Police, Adriano Antonio Maciel Pinheiro.

It has a rectangular shape and is divided into three fields: the green, which symbolizes the nature and represents freedom and hope; yellow, which symbolizes the spiritual light and represents the wealth, white, representing peace and humility. Centered the white field is the Coat of Arms of the Federal District.
