The coat of arms of Timbó is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 77 promulgated on 22 August 1950.

Article 2.
The coat of arms of the municipality of Timbó is composed of a shield surmounted by a mural crown proper to municipalities. A red Maltese cross quarters the shield into four parts, in the center a blue escutcheon inscribed the date "26 de marzo de 1894", or, the date of inauguration of the municipality. Since Timbó was separated from Blumenau, its coat of arms is inspired from the arms of Blumenau. So is the sinister lower field, featuring a flowering field ("Blumenau") on the bank of river Itajaí lit by the Southern Cross.
The upper sinister quarter features the arms of Brazil.
The upper dexter field features an anchor and a key, although parts of the arms of Blumenau, meaning that, incorporated to the country and the state, patriotic Timbó moves with Santa Catarina and Brazil to a glorious future patroned by the Cross of Christ that saw the birth of a nation [...]
The lower dexter quarter features the confluence of two rivers, Cedars' River and the Blessed River, where the municipal seat is located, and a farmer. Timbó owes its prosperity to intelligent and rational agriculture, which is highlighted by an ox drawing a plow.
Industry, growing year after year, is symbolized by the cogwheel superimposed by a blue scroll placed beneath the shield.
The scroll is inscribed with the motto or "CLARA EX STIRPE", "Descending from an Illustrious Branch", here, Blumenau [...].
Supporting the shield, sinister, tobacco plants [...]. Dexter rice leaves and ripe panicles green and or. These are the municipality's two main crops.
